A poignant and uplifting biographical drama that chronicles the life of John Davidson,

a Scottish man diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome during the 1980s,

a time when the condition was poorly understood.

The film portrays his teenage years in Galashiels, where involuntary tics abruptly derailed

his football aspirations, strained family bonds,

and subjected him to bullying and misunderstanding from his peers.

The Other Neville is an electrifying one-woman play that tells the untold story of Tracey Neville

(often overshadowed by her famous footballer brothers)

as she steps out of their shadow to cement her own legacy in English netball.

The play unfolds in two parts, capturing her journey as both player and coach,

centring around a pivotal moment in England netball history.

It immerses audiences in the vibrant world of netball,

a sport deeply intertwined with female identity and community.

Audiences will be immersed in Tracey Neville’s journey through authentic netball choreography,

vivid storytelling, and themes that touch on ambition, resilience, and the search for identity.

The play is inspiring, heartfelt, and relatable, making it a must-see for anyone interested in stories

of strong women, grassroots sports, overcoming obstacles and the fight for equality.
